Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship/Perioperative Echocardiography
Fellowship positions are offered for one to two years Fellowship program in cardiac anesthesia, cardiac postoperative care, and preoperative echocardiography at the Toronto General Hospital of University Health Network, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada. Toronto General Hospital is an active cardiac surgical center performing 1700 open heart procedures per year. Case mix includes major valvular repairs, adult complex congenital surgery, multiorgan transplantation, ventricular assist device insertion, and aortocoronary bypass procedures. Perioperative echocardiography training will include clinical and research experience with both transesophageal (TEE) and epiaortic echocardiography. Intraoperative echocardiography service performs in excess of 1000 diagnostic intraoperative echo exams per year.
